How we built a recruitment agency, with zero recruiting experience.

In 2016, we founded Oneo, a digital community like no other. Our mission was clear: to bring together the best and brightest minds, curating a pool of exceptional talent that would shape the future of the digital landscape. With unwavering determination, we set out to transform the industry and change lives.

At the core of our philosophy was the belief that true excellence could only be achieved by working with specialists at the top of their game. We shunned the traditional job board approach, instead opting for a meticulously tailored headhunting process. Each candidate was carefully selected, sought after, and handpicked to ensure that only the crème de la crème made their way into our community.

Our dedication to quality extended beyond just sourcing talent. We understood that the recruitment process required a deep understanding of industry requirements. That’s why we relied on industry peers, not recruiters, to vet candidates and interrogate client specifications. This approach eliminated confusion and allowed us to hit the ground running, producing a superior caliber of talent that surpassed all expectations.

Gone were the days of candidates feeling worn down by the industry fatigue associated with traditional recruitment agencies. We had disrupted the norm, offering a fresh and energizing experience for both candidates and companies. We never resorted to bulk sending out CVs, for that was not our way. Instead, we meticulously built a comprehensive funnel that every candidate had to navigate, ensuring that only the most suitable and passionate individuals made it through.

The innovation and commitment of our team were further demonstrated by the development of our own Applicant Tracking System (ATS). From scratch, we crafted a tool that kept us agile, organized, and focused on delivering a high-quality output. This bespoke system also enabled us to customize and adapt our onboarding efforts, taking on the bulk administrative work for our clients, freeing them to focus on what truly mattered.

But our mission did not stop at finding talent; it was rooted in nurturing lasting relationships. Recognizing the value of retention, we actively engaged with our candidates, building a genuine connection that extended beyond the initial hiring process.
