Overview
As Tech Lead at our client, a venture builder that develops and scales tech-driven products transforming traditional industries, you will act as the CTO’s technical right hand and lead day-to-day execution for an engineering team of four across two flagship ventures. You will own architecture and system design, refine the codebase, manage issues and pull requests, mentor engineers, and contribute hands-on code (approximately 50%). Working closely with the CTO, you will align engineering delivery to the product roadmap and business priorities for Wisebid (an AI-powered tender-management platform) and Myron (an asset-finance platform using blockchain) to ensure scalable, maintainable, high-quality software in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily stand-ups; oversee sprint planning and task distribution.
- Write clear, actionable issues; maintain alignment between business and technical priorities.
- Own architecture and system design decisions for Wisebid and Myron.
- Contribute as a hands-on engineer (50% coding).
- Collaborate closely with, and report to, the CTO on technical strategy, deliverables, and product roadmap.
- Manage the codebase, including issues and pull requests, to drive quality and velocity.
- Coach and mentor engineers; foster a culture of learning and ownership.
Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development.
- Solid understanding of modern software architecture patterns.
- Experience working with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a logical, analytical approach.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Intrinsic motivation for continual learning and staying updated on software engineering and emerging GenAI technologies.
- Interest in blockchain technology.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
