Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer at our client, a venture builder that develops and scales tech-driven products from idea to market, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and evolving two flagship platforms: Wisebid, an AI-powered tender-management solution, and Myron, a blockchain-enabled asset finance platform. You will work as part of a small, experienced engineering team, contributing high-quality code, collaborating closely with peers and the CTO, and helping shape scalable, maintainable systems that align with product and business priorities. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working across the full software lifecycle in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend and full-stack features across Wisebid and Myron.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making in collaboration with the CTO and engineering team.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern development practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog refinement.
- Review code, contribute to pull requests, and support overall code quality.
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tooling.
Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer.
- Strong experience working with modern JavaScript-based stacks.
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns and scalable system design.
- Experience contributing to production-grade systems in startup or scale-up environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach.
- Genuine interest in staying current with modern software engineering practices, including emerging GenAI technologies.
- Interest in blockchain-based systems or financial technology.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
