Overview


As Sales Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling a high-growth, values-driven digital marketing agency. This isn’t just a sales leadership role — it’s a strategic seat at the table. You’ll connect the dots between marketing, CRM, and business operations to drive measurable business outcomes for South African SMEs. You’ll lead a technically strong CRM team, close inbound leads across Ads, Websites, and CRM services, and collaborate directly with the CEO and leadership team. You’ll be trusted to own the pipeline, drive performance, and shape how sales and service work together. With AI playing an increasing role in client delivery, you’ll also help evolve and sell our growing AI-based workflow offering.

Responsibilities


  • Close inbound leads across Google/Microsoft Ads, CRM (Pipedrive), and website services
  • Lead and mentor the CRM department, standardising processes and scaling delivery
  • Own and manage the full sales pipeline, including metrics, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Collaborate with CEO, Head of Ads, and Creative Sales Strategist on strategic opportunities
  • Guide and coach SDR on pipeline hygiene, reporting, and conversion
  • Drive seamless integration between sales, marketing, web conversion, and CRM experiences
  • Shape outbound sales narratives and help position the brand in-market
  • Champion the use and integration of AI tools in client-facing solutions

Experience


  • Proven experience in B2B sales (ideally in tech, SaaS, or professional services)
  • Strong track record of closing deals, hitting targets, and managing pipelines
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities
  • Experience working with SME clients across diverse sectors

Qualifications


  • Formal tertiary qualification is a bonus but not mandatory if experience is strong
  • Sales or CRM certifications beneficial (e.g., Pipedrive, HubSpot, etc.)
  • AI tools and digital marketing training an advantage
