Overview


Our client is looking for a highly technical, detail-oriented Email Operations Manager to own the execution and optimisation of global email marketing programmes. This is a hands-on, mid-level role focused on Salesforce Marketing Cloud operations, email development, deliverability, personalisation, QA, and data-driven campaign execution. The role supports Growth Marketing, Commercial Marketing, and Product teams in building scalable, personalised communications that improve engagement, retention, and lifecycle growth across a global healthcare professional member base of over 1.3 million professionals across 150 countries. The role contributes to a wider mission of helping healthcare professionals share insights, improve patient outcomes, and shape the future of medicine through a technology-enabled healthcare intelligence platform that turns healthcare professional experience into actionable insights for pharmaceutical companies, healthcare partners, and the wider medical community.

Responsibilities


  • Build, launch, and optimise email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Use Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder to execute global email marketing programmes.
  • Develop responsive emails using HTML and CSS.
  • Ensure consistent email rendering across devices and inbox providers.
  • Build modular email templates in Content Builder using reusable content blocks.
  • Code dynamic content using AMPscript and SQL for advanced personalisation and segmentation.
  • Design complex, multi-step customer journeys.
  • Maintain high email deliverability standards.
  • Monitor sender reputation, inbox placement, bounce handling, and suppression logic.
  • Conduct rigorous campaign QA across rendering, links, tracking, and personalisation logic.
  • Maintain compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and internal data governance policies.
  • Document processes and support internal stakeholders in adopting Salesforce Marketing Cloud best practices.
  • Support scalable, personalised communications across a global healthcare professional member base.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Growth Marketing, Commercial Marketing, and Product teams.
  • Contribute to a platform that helps healthcare professionals communicate about issues that matter to them and their patients.
  • Support a technology-enabled healthcare intelligence platform serving pharmaceutical companies, healthcare partners, and the wider medical community.

Experience


  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience in a technical execution role.
  • Strong experience building, launching, and optimising email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong experience using Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
  • Strong experience with AMPscript for advanced personalisation and logic.
  • Strong experience with SQL for data segmentation and automation workflows.
  • Strong experience with HTML and CSS for responsive email development and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability, inbox placement, and sender reputation management.
  • Experience working with large-scale, data-driven marketing programmes.
  • Experience working with Customer Data Platforms, such as Data360, including audience segmentation and data activation into Salesforce Marketing Cloud, is a plus.
  • Experience supporting internal stakeholders with Salesforce Marketing Cloud best practices.
  • Experience working in or supporting a global, healthcare-focused technology environment is beneficial.
  • Experience contributing to engagement, retention, lifecycle growth, and community-building initiatives is beneficial.

Qualifications


  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification required.
  • Marketing Cloud Consultant certification preferred.
  • Marketing Cloud Developer certification preferred.
