Overview
We are looking for a part-qualified accountant. The role will be a key member of the team in this fast-growing business and will work with the rest of the finance team and the wider business to ensure effective financial control and timely and accurate reporting.
You will need to embrace and help drive change as the business looks to improve systems and processes and have a positive can-do attitude. You’ll be joining a small, motivated finance team that is passionate about providing great support to the business and helping to drive it forward.

Responsibilities
Revenue management, Billing, and Credit Control:
- Take full ownership of billing processes covering professional services, recurring charges, and support on enhancements to ensure billing accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and manage monthly debtor reports and participate in debtor meetings.
- Utilise Salesforce and Certinia effectively to oversee financial operations, maintaining accurate and current financial data, and reviewing sales opportunities and projects to ensure alignment with commercial agreements.
- Create and manage projects in Certinia, establishing milestones to monitor project progress and accurately recognise revenue.
- Export, review, and upload timecards to appropriate projects in Certinia, ensuring precise allocation against milestones.
- Reconcile accrued and deferred income to trial balance.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Relationship Managers to promptly resolve financial discrepancies.
- Professionally address and resolve client queries and invoice disputes.
Cash Management:
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily cash flow report.
- Manage bank journals and perform reconciliations across all bank accounts.
- Provide support to accounts payable processes as needed.
Other Duties:
- Support the finance team and wider business with the implementation of new systems and processes.
- Contribute to the annual audit process, ensuring smooth operations.
- Undertake ad-hoc finance-related duties as required.
Experience
- Professional approach and the ability to manipulate data and present financial information accurately and in a clear and concise manner
- Experience in Technology or related sector would be an advantage
- Experience using Salesforce platform would be a plus
- Ability to work independently using their own initiative or as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Numerate and analytical combined with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Enthusiasm, motivation and a 'can do' attitude
- Drive to continually look to improve processes and management information
- Fluent in English
Qualifications
- Part Qualified Accountant and working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, CA or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
